Do you have the mounting locations from the donor sled? If you don't it will be a major pain in the you know what. If you have the measurements it will take about 4-6 hours if you take your time.

Your sled may reject the donor organ!! lol!!
It will be the best update you've done! But like sandman said , you need to take measurements from a sled that had the same SC10II installed from the Factory!Good luck

On another note, you could make up a template similar to the cardboard one that one would use to install an M10. You could notch it to fit over the jackshaft on the ski-doo, and mark the mounting points on the template. Then you could transfer the template to your machine and duplicate the holes. You would probably need to pick up a couple of reference points from the ski-doo to insure that you are staying on track. Check and double check before you drill any holes; you could dummy it up in place before drilling to get a preview. Good luck!

It works great just take the measurements from the ski doo. you will have to drill new holes, but they end up in the reinforced part of the tunnel

I bought an sc10-lll for my srx7 w/measurements but I think it'll prove to be a challenge. Not much input for you though because I'm not sure if the ll is different than the lll as far as mounts go and mine came out of a rev. Interceptor700 is going to help w/it. I'll let you lknow how it goes and some pics too.

The SC-10II does measure slightly different then the SC-10II due to the change in travel. When SRXTRAFAST and I get the III in I'll post pics and description anyway as it may be some help.
I plan to attack the install the same way I did for my XTC w/ a '04 ZR 900 sno pro suspension in it. I measured off the driveshaft a ZR 800 that I had in the shop and then transferred the measurements to the tunnel of the XTC. I remeasured center to center to make sure that was within spec and after that it's just height determination for the holes. W/ the skid on the ground I could measure the difference in height off the floor of the front and rear mount points of the skid. I decided to use the same height as stock on the rear hole, then determined the height of the front hole based off of that.
It took some time and patients measuring, but in the end the result was worth it. Here's some pics.

As I said, you can't go much wrong if you come off the jackshaft and do a template. And you probably wouldn't screw it up much if you were off slightly anyway. The manufacturer's are always changing things a little; what was perfect last year always seems to be refined, modified, improved or replaced the next year.

Make sure to give some thought to ride height and plane of the rear skid relative to whatever you have on the front end. Once you get your measurements relative to the driveshaft and top of the tunnel check it out to see where it will ride compared to the skid that came out.

You stock Viper skid is better than the two - I think you're wasting your time. IMO.
(I have 3500 + miles on each of them.) Now if it were a SC10 III that might be a different story.

I put a SC10111 In my SRX was the best thing I did to it. It took about an hour longer than normal to install was realy easy just make sure you have the holes for the ft a arm low enough in the tunnel. Does it ever transfer and ride you won't believe the ride I probably know 20 guys that have done this you won't regret it.

do all the measuring from the top of the tunnel. do not guess either. it needs to be done with precision. if the front mount ends up too close to the steering hoop, then you can move it back a little to make room, but dont get crazy. also make sure all mounting bolts go through a plate in the tunnel.

I just read what this skid came out of - you are taking a step backwards - I had a 2000 Formula Deluxe 700 and the rear skid on any Yamaha 1997 - 2005 with a pro action and KYB's will ride better - sell the SC 10 II and get your shocks valved for you weight and riding style. Seriously.
I confess - I'm a convert ....
