Could get a little messy tomorrow night. With the snow winds supposed to kick up to 60 km's/hr and the snow will be blowing with drifting and flurries on Wed. :wel: :winterrul :brr

Winter storm watch for:
City of Winnipeg

15 TO 25 CM OF SNOW IS EXPECTED TUESDAY. THE POTENTIAL FOR SEVERE WINTER WEATHER EXISTS OVER THESE REGIONS.
A WEATHER DISTURBANCE CURRENTLY OVER SOUTHWESTERN SASKATCHEWAN IS EXPECTED TO MOVE EASTWARD TONIGHT BRINGING SNOW INTO SOUTHWESTERN MANITOBA MONDAY NIGHT. AT THIS TIME, SNOWFALL AMOUNTS ARE UNCERTAIN BUT ACCUMULATIONS IN EXCESS OF 10 CM ARE EXPECTED. MEANWHILE AN INTENSE LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM IS EXPECTED TO MOVE ACROSS NORTH DAKOTA TUESDAY MORNING AND MOVE INTO SOUTHEASTERN MANITOBA TUESDAY AFTERNOON. IF THE SITUATION WILL DEVELOP AS EXPECTED THIS WEATHER SYSTEM MAY BRING 15 TO 20 CM OF SNOW INTO SOUTHERN MANITOBA AND STRONG GUSTY WINDS CAUSING EXTENSIVE BLOWING SNOW AND REDUCED VISIBILITIES. FURTHER INFORMATION WILL BE FORTHCOMING IN UPDATED BULLETINS AS THE SPEED, TRACK AND INTENSITY OF THIS SYSTEM BECOMES BETTER KNOWN. A WINTER STORM WATCH IS AN ALERT OF THE POTENTIAL DEVELOPMENT OF SEVERE WINTER WEATHER. PERSONS IN OR NEAR THESE AREAS SHOULD BE PREPARED FOR DEVELOPING ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS AND SHOULD LISTEN FOR UPDATED WATCHES AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS.

PLEASE REFER TO THE LATEST PUBLIC FORECASTS FOR FURTHER DETAILS.

yes blkmax600 you are right. Looking out the window to the west and nothing happening yet.I need to get my sled out to stretch it's legs.I am going crazy just waiting for snow to come.I have tomorrow off and would love to go riding.Tank is full of gas.

hey 92vwgti.You guys aren't getting snow this season. They said on the news BC will now have a snowy winter(ie.Vancouver) and other parts of the country will have mild temps(Vancouver's weather)rainy and mild.

i live just a few miles out of winnipeg on the east side. I ride Birdshill park and mostly the whiteshell/winnipeg river system lots of lake runnin.

I live a few miles south of the city and usually hang around the Red River and the floodway.Ride the Lasalle River past Labarrier Park when there are not to many skiers in my way.Bought a trailer last year so maybe I will get a chance to broaden my ride area a bit.

Could this be true???????????????????

10 TO 25 CM OF SNOW POSSIBLE TONIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY NIGHT.
A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM CURRENTLY OVER WYOMING IS FORECAST TO TRACK NORTHEASTWARD AND INTENSIFY OVER SOUTHEASTERN MANITOBA BY LATE TUESDAY. THIS LOW WILL BRING PLENTY OF WINTRY WEATHER TO MUCH OF THE PROVINCE OVER THE NEXT 24 TO 36 HOURS. SNOW AND POSSIBLE FREEZING RAIN WILL AFFECT PARTS OF SOUTHEASTERN MANITOBA, WHILE HEAVY SNOWFALL WILL AFFECT AREAS FARTHER NORTH AND WEST. SNOW HAS ALREADY BEGUN OVER SOUTHWESTERN MANITOBA AND THIS SNOWFALL WILL CONTINUE TO SPREAD NORTH AND EAST THROUGH TONIGHT REACHING THE RED RIVER VALLEY OVERNIGHT. AS OF 9 PM BRANDON RECEIVED 4 CM WHILE DAUPHIN HAS REPORTED 1 CM. SNOW WILL CONTINUE TUESDAY, HEAVY AT TIMES OVER WESTERN MANITOBA AND THE INTERLAKE REGIONS. UP TO 25 CM OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE IN THESE AREAS BY TUESDAY NIGHT WITH THE HIGHEST AMOUNTS IN EAST-FACING SLOPES OF THE RIDING MOUNTAINS AND THE MANITOBA ESCARPMENT. FURTHER EAST SNOWFALL AMOUNTS WILL LIKELY BE LESS..PERHAPS 10 TO 15 CM IN THE RED RIVER VALLEY INCLUDING WINNIPEG. BRISK EAST TO NORTHEAST WINDS TONIGHT AND TUESDAY WILL COMPOUND THE SNOW WITH LOCALLY POOR VISIBILITIES AT TIMES IN BLOWING SNOW. OVER SOUTHEASTERN MANITOBA SNOW WILL LIKELY MIX WITH OR CHANGE TO FREEZING RAIN BY TUESDAY AFTERNOON. THE EXACT LOCATION OF THE FREEZING RAIN IS CURRENTLY UNCLEAR, BUT AT THIS TIME IT APPEARS THAT AREAS SOUTH AND EAST OF WINNIPEG MAY EXPERIENCE SOME FREEZING RAIN TUESDAY. A WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THESE AREAS FOR THAT POSSIBILITY. IN BEHIND THIS SYSTEM, WINDS WILL INCREASE AND SWING AROUND TO THE NORTH TUESDAY NIGHT AND TEMPERATURES WILL FALL. THIS COMBINATION WILL LIKELY BRING AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW AND REDUCED VISIBILITIES TO SOUTHERN MANITOBA TUESDAY NIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY.

PLEASE REFER TO THE LATEST PUBLIC FORECASTS FOR FURTHER DETAILS. :wel: :brr :letitsnow
