Took the wife's Viper today for a ride went to the pit ,few water puddle's i notice every puddle i took the viper just bog down seeem's like as soon as i hit the water the front end wants to plow maybe loosen front strap in suspension ???? I did lose it in the water later that Afther 75 to 100 feet of water any tips on this anything you have for the viper sure would help thank :bling:

Yamaha's arn't the best on water. theres vents on the bottem, Maybe you can Tape them up and then try it again?

My viper Mtn is Wicket on water As long as the water is Calm. I had a few scary moments but managed to pull out safely.

Be Carefull on the water. I know Many people that drowned because of it

I heard something here on t.y. that if you add the MM deflector shield in front of the exhaust where it exits under the belly this solves the bog your having in deep snow and on puddle skipping. Good luck and post back results…

it is kind of ironic you viper doesn't go well in the water...I have a boat that doesn't go on snow worth a crap either...LOL

Your problem is that water is entering the engine bay and spraying on the clutches. This happens because your sled is probably not siliconed. Areas to silicone include shock tower mount (where the shock comes through the bellypan), where the bellypan meets the front frame, and look up in the tunnel, the upper left corner. Silicone the right upper corner too. My sled is siliconed where the bellypan meets the metal (front frame) but not in the tunnel. If I hit the water with speed, it will go just fine, but if I hit it slowly, the water will spray in through the hole over the front heat exchanger.
Now you are probably asking what these holes are for? Have you noticed how your sled drains out water after you stop when you have been riding in power? That's what the holes are for.
PS, look at my video below.

Your link don't work...to your video

I could be wrong but when my clutches get wet the RPM's shot way up.
I have tried to seal all them nasty holes for water to enter, even in the top front of the tunnel by the heat exchangers

PS. it is no fun sinking a sled!

I'm sorry about the link. The page belongs to my neighbour and he said he was moving it to a different server or something. I have the video on my laptop here though, if you want it. When the clutches get wet on my srx, the rpms drop..

not mine, The rpms Shoot up high when the clutch's get wet. Because the Water Makes it Grip into nothing so its just Spinning Freely thus shooting up the Rpms.
Just imagine your Clutch with no belt on the handle..lol

just wondering why would the rpm's drop?
are you sure your not sucking water into the air intake? or losing spark?
