78 ET-250 Enticer gas tank and oil pump? What should I do?

I am in the process of changing over my sons 78 enticer 250 to use a 32mm mikuni roundslide carb. I also have a bad gas tank which I removed and I plan on running premix with a go-cart style fuel tank. Am I going to run into any issues with lack of lubrication. Should I altogether eliminate the oil pump or just block it off or does it serve another purpose. Hate to have the thing seize up on me.

for a trail sled, why disconnect the oil pump? just use it - no need to hassle with premix. If you need a fuel tank, I think I got one..... can double check next weekend

The Mikuni carb has no inlet for the oil. This sled will be used on private property only for my 7 year old son to learn on. Just thought it would a little easier to do the pre-mix. If it did ever hit a trail it would be for a short run. Here is the carb I was going to use on E-bay item number 290038360270 with this fuel pump 290040320613

Kinda making it up as I go as this is the first time I am attempting to do such a conversion. Not really 100% about what I am doing. Trying to keep cost and maintence down. The carb I have on it is missing parts that I can no longer find.

Understood... That should all be fine. If you want you can drill a inlet into the flange on the cylinder for the oil pump

Your son will have a good time, My step son is 9 and on his 2nd year driving a 76 GS300

Did you happen to view those items on E-bay? I would like to verify that they will work before I bid on them. I would hate to waste some money.

I was just going to get a universal carb flange for the 32mm. It looks like if I will have to use the stock curved intake piece that is original and bolt carb flange to that or I may to open up flange holes a 1/16 of a inch or so. I like the idea of using the stock intake piece. Then once everything is mounted I will figure out something for a airbox. Can I just use one of those K and N or UNI types? Looks to total convert will cost me around 90-100 dollars with all new parts. That will give me a total of $250 in the sled.

$250 into something for the kiddies is a good deal. Hours of fun they will have.
you can use any filter and a hose clamp to hold it on. The factory air box just really helps cut down the noise.
