Heres my question. I have the heads off of my viper, and am contemplating if I should take the jugs off, and install my new teflon coated pistons. The sled has 44xx miles on it, but the cylinders look great, and the sled had good compression. I don't know how hard it will be to tell wash on telflon coated piston tops. I don't want to burn up new pistons, but don't really want to have to redue it next year either. It would only take me about 1 hour to swap them. I am going to be running aaen pipes, and mega heads on the sled right off the ba, that is why the worry about piston wash. Whats everyone think. Maxdlx

i wouldnt coat them, not really needed, and you are right they are hard if not almost impossible to read. plus when you do burn one up (not fool proof) you be down an extra week or so waiting to get your replacement piston coated. bushman runs aaeen stuff and talks to olav regularly, he isnt a fan of coating either. if you are going that far take a few extra days and send the cylinders and pistons to mrviper700 he is the shiznit for srx-viper piston mod and porting. mine will be in my hot little hands in a few short days. and your heads will be to you next week. ski
Ski they are pre manufactured teflon coated pistons. you can get a replacement as fast as stock. i already have them. Maxdlx
