The word on the side is SHO which is a ford car with a yamaha v6, the other side says R6

All I know is that original SHO hauled a$$. They stopped making them because they would run with there Mustangs at the time.

yamaha made the intake and had different heads. I dont think yamaha actually produced the heads but they made some modifications as well as the exhaust

they were de-tuned so they wouldnt run the mustangs lol.....but once they were tuned right they hauled



yamaha also designed the corvette ZR-1 blocks.....which were crazy fast

The motor is completly built by yamaha, was suppost to go in a 2 seater mazda sports car but the market for these cars was gone so ford (co-owned with Mazda) put these yamaha v6's in the taurus in the late 80's with a mazda based transmission. With 220 hp this car was WAY ahead of its time.

it was Ford's block ,crank and heads. I asked around at the shop and that seemed to be the consensus. I work for a Ford dealer but I couldnt seem to find exactly who made what.
