I am in the process of switching my son's 78 ET-250 to run a 32mm Mikuni Carburator with a single feed mikuni fuel pump. The question I have is, on the fuel pump what port goes to what. On the bottom of the fuel pump it has 2 arrows and 2 nipples. 1 pointing in and one pointing out. On the the top of the fuel pump there is a single nipple. I think the incoming one connects to the crankcase but I am not sure. This is a pulse type pump that was from a John Deere. Here is a link to the fuel pump I purchased. E-bay item number

I think I figured it out. The top goes to crankcase. The inlet comes from fuel tank and outlet to the carb. I know it needs to be mounted below the fuel tank. Is this correct?

Some ones install it side-ways to prevent oil staying in pump (there might comin some oil from crank case via pulse hose)
