98-99 SRX700 Trail/lake

48/42 Helix, 89a-10 w/4.5g rivet in 1st hole and .8g in tip, 2-3 engagement shims, b-w-b primary spring, stock secondary spring.

98-99 SRX700 Race

51/45 Helix, 8-bu weights w/4.5g rivets in tip and empty pivot hole,, stock primary spring, silver secondary spring, gearing depends on distance racing.

Do you need clutching? Is it overrevving right now? /with all those mods(get rid of the can) sounds like the previous owner might have clutched it allready.

it has 8dn -10 and a b-w-b- primary i m pertty shure its not over reving. is the stock can better than the bender. it pulls about 8700 rpm

Your revving too high. You want to be no higher then 8700 rpm. You should change inner rivet from a 3.1 gram to a 4.5 gram. Get a helix about 52/44 & wrap it at 80 degrees in the secondary. This will be very cheap & work well.

you would want your rpm to at maximum 8500.. do as turk recomended or buy parts for a new clutch kit, 8bu-00 weights w-w-w primery spring. 51-43 helix and a green secondery spring at 70 degrees.. and kick some f7 *** :D
and yes stock can is better than aftermarket cans for a stock srx..

Powerpack, I've got that stuff, but where on the weight(inner/outer) do I put the rivets and how much should they weigh?

powerpack, hows that set up for aggresive trail or is it just for drag? quick backshift with that helix?i have the same set up coming to me with a 48/42 advant-edge helix. how can i expect it to work on and off trail. i am not big into straight line racing. sorry for bumping in on your post chevy!!

norwegian. i had it on the inner, but some have it on the tip. dont remember how many grams..

seca. yes it should work fine for aggresive trail riding!!

works sweet i was over reving but i got 4.5 in both holes and it stays at 8500 all day long, im playing with the wrap in the clutch. i got it at 100 and good traction ski lift is about 3ft and carrys them about a foot off. sweet mod thanks for the help
