SX700 mods

Does anyone know a good pipe and aggressive clutch setup for my 98 sx700? My uncles 98 xc700 twin kicks my a## out of the hole and on top end. I understand this sled is set up for trail riding, but I think it ought to be able to go faster than 95 mph. I just can't get any more out of it.

There was a set of benders on here for that sled for sale. they would work great, and use the clutch set up of Turk's in the tech section. Maxdlx

Thanks, Maxdlx. I was reading Turks setup and noticed its for an RX-1. Does this matter or do they run the same set-up stock?

thin head gasked do reed notch and also if you keep stock exhaust do the exhaust bore. all great mods

There are set ups on there for all of the old sleds too. There is also a set of PI end dump ceramic coated pipes on ebay too. They make a little more HP than the benders, but are way way louder. I'll see if I can find a link. Maxdlx
