The outsides of my cylinders are discolored and oxodized cause of road salt, I tried to clean them but cant get them clean enough to my liking. I was wondering if I can take the outside scale or coating off the cylinders? And by doin this will it hurt performance and realibilty? I have done this to my CR for the same reason just couldnt get the cylinder clean. So I took a rotary wire brush and took all the scale or coating off. I rebuild the topend the same time I did this and havent had any problems yet, and its goin on 3 years now. And when shes coated with mud everything flings right off with the hose no more issues with that. Let me know what you guys think on this idea. Thanks
