trial quiet piping

you can still get ticketed with the stock can. the ticket is for altered exhaust and all pipes have their company name embossed on them, thats part of what the cops look for.

Man it must suck having all these snomwobile laws.

Here we have no laws, ...no speed laws, no sound laws, ...nothing. Go as fast as you want, and as loud as you want. The only thing you have to watch out for is your neighbour throwing a boot at you as you fly by.

Cheers.

We do have a sound law. 78dB at 50 feet. It is not enforced well though.

By the way its 81db for motorcycles. Also not enforced well or at all. One of the many reasons I like Winter is it is quieter around here.

Wisconsin is insane with their noise enforcement. I have had so many piped sleds in the past, two XLT's, three SX's and a viper. Now i just run the stock srx exhaust (which just happens to be the best exhaust for it anyway) and a bored out silencer on the SX 700R. No more problems now, and not pissing people off.

Sounds travels alot farther with no leaves and vegatation. Any Dirt Bike, Quad, Dune Buggy, or Truck has to be under 96DBs while riding on ORV marked trails. Is that law inforced here in Michigan no way. Take Silver Lake Sand Dunes all the same rules apply, but there guys out there running blown big blocks with open headers, that you can hear from the parking lot. Which if ya ever been there its alot of land to cover, but there no trees or anything to stop the noise from traveling. I feel bad for you guys in Wisconsin.

Don't feel bad for people in Wisconsin about the noise issue. Because there is a law the trails are still open. When you belong to a snowmobile club you understand why it's there. Ever try to convince a land owner to keep the trail thru his property open after a few people made him mad last year. Everyone should have to do this just once to fully understand.
