With my longtrack'd SRX to 136 i found the 6" carbides on my USI project X skis didn't have enough bite and i had alot of push in corners. I want to get longer carbides but not sure if i should go 8" or 10". I am going with CBPerformance square cabides and not sure if 10" is overkill..........thanks.........James

Well I like to put at least 9 or 10 inch on my sleds. As they last longer and they are 121 track.

with the 136" track, you're going to get "push"....if its a long tracked srx, its no longer the trail basher.....now its a laker, or back-country trail blazer
8" will probably do the job fine. on the sxr i put 6" when i put the ripsaw on and it was a point and shoot machine this way. takes corners extremely well too.

Oh well, i went with the 10" ones. I guess overkill is better..........James

I found the 60 degree carbide, Woodys I think, worked better than the 90 degree.

If your in need of some reading on the subject of carbides and the differences between them check out Berkstrum Skeg's site. (Likely spelled wrong but you get the idea) He has hours of reading on the what's and why's and more info than you would ever want to know about the history of carbides and studs.

Reaper, looking for some feedback on how these skis work in the powder as well as on the trails, what's your experince so far?

Off trail the skis work awsome, as for the trail i think they do a good job but because of the issues i am having with weight transfer and longer track on the ground i think it will get better with the longer carbides and some adjustments to front and rear suspension..............James

To big of carbides will give you darting....But I think you should be fine with a 136"
