Oil pump input shaft

Hi,

I had a small oil leak around the oil pump areaon my 97 600sx so i pulled the carbs off to get a better look. I pulled the oil pump to see if I could see where the leak is (input hose is a tad loose I think) and noticed that the input shaft on the oil oump is diamond shaped on the end. Is this the normal shape or is it to be more of an obround shaft? It looks to even to be wear, but I though I should check before popping it back together.

How many miles on the sled? If you don't put a bit of grease in there where the shaft rides in the water pump, it will wear and eventually become so sloppy it will no longer pump oil. Then you have BIG problems! LOL I have a pump if you decide you need to replace it. I will take a pic and post it here if you need to see what it looks like.
 
If you could post a pic of what it should look like I would appreciate it.
