Since Maximum Performance has gone out of business does anyone have detailed info, or sketches, on how to put viper front shocks in an sx chasis, or does anyone know who sells the hardware to do this? I work in a machine shop and can fabricate the parts, but I don't want to screw up the angle, or the height of the shocks. Any help would be appreciated.
Also does anyone know why there is so many 2002 Viper shocks for sale, are they not good shocks?
Thanks!

viper shocks will bolt right into the sx chassis, any sled that require a clevis-style upper mount.

So just remove the bracket that is on it now and bolt it to the bulk head? The rubber bushing would be for a Viper?
Yep, the Viper bushing is all you need. I did it to my '99 SX and love it. You may want to invest in a set of Viper radious rods, tie rods and sway bar as well to get full use out of the longer travel. I am finding that the SX rods tend to give the sled a little more bump steer with the Viper shocks/springs vs. the stock shocks/springs.
Search the site, I remember someone posting that they used the stock upper SX mounts with the Viper shocks/springs and bushings and got even more ride height out of the front of the sled. Not totally sure how they did it though.

I purchased the viper rad. rods and tie rods with the shocks. I will also have to change the sway bar? I didn't think of that. I have been looking around on this site and I am thinking that I may want to send the shocks to pioneer for re valve also. Everyone is saying that the factory valving is all messed up causing a very harsh ride.
I looked at the front end of the sled the other day and I thought that the viper shocks would bolt right onto the bulk head but wasn't sure if it would be the proper height. I have been trying to find a post that was on here last year that gave a very detailed instruction on how to set up a viper pro action suspension, and I haven't been able to locate it yet.
Thanks for the info!
