anyone know how to set this type of brake system up? working on a 89 exiter. same system up to 96 vmax. if i tighten the bolts that mount it to the chain case, the brake is locked up. slightly loosening bolts frees the brake. suggestions?

this happens when someone pulls the break on when you had the system off the break rotor.You have to reset the pads to go back in further.I think it is on a ratcheting ramp.Been a long time.Play with it you will get it.
There should be a screw under metal cover to adjust.
cover was never removed, sled sat for two years and for some reason the brake was locked. cable good, auto adjuster good. at wits end i shimmed between the mounts and it works fine now. also, worked fine prior to sitting. thanks for the input.
