Theirs a big price difference up here in Canada and to find a viper in the 1000 mile range is very rare, Hell you cant even find a 1998 srx for less than $3000 and with at least 8000 miles +++

I'd say that's not a bad price. If you can take him down to 5,000 thats' ok. Not a great price, but not unacceptibly high. My boss is selling his 2006 Apex for 10,500... and that's pretty cheap for a used apex around here. Like others have said the Canadian market for sleds is HUGE compared to the US. It baffles my mind when I see the prices of sleds for sale. Here's a link to the first page of 2000 - 2004 yamaha's in the autotrader (not sure if they'll work... hope so) These are common prices for all of these sleds.

Multiply those prices by .87 for today's exchange rate of the Canadian dollar to the American dollar and you get your prices in US funds.
Vipers and SRX's are going for the same price.

Keep in mind that a sled with 7000 kms is only about 4300 miles or so.

Yes i have seen them... I can't beleive how low those prices are. these are the norm for at least Ontario and i'm betting most of Canada. I almost wish it would be worth it to go to the states to pick up a nice sled... but like mentioned before, you have to pay taxes have the government inspect it etc etc etc. By the time all that's done you might aswell have bought one from Canada in the first place.
