I plan on doing some mods to my sled in the near future. need some help deciding on what to do. Do the thin headgasket mod and the silencer bore work on the 600 twin? :winterrul

not sure about the silancer but the head gasket mod does work id recomend that. then id say get a hold of turk for some clucth set ups.

I also have a 98 VMAX 600, this year I did the head gasket mod, reed spacers and installed a 1.25 ripsaw track with adjustable transfer rods. Also replacing stock steel skis with a set of plastic skis from a sxr ( thanks to Bluemonster for those.) Just wanting for the snow to test it out.
By what I have been told the silencer mod does nothing for the 600 twin. :letitsnow

the thinner head gasket really wakes it up. Just remember you should run premium fuel.
If you want to save a couple bucks from the reed spacers. You can do the reed notch as described here in the tech section of TY.
For clutch setups, also check the tech section. just find your machine amoungst all the listings.

I can't think of a reason to mess with the silencer either. The note that comes from it stock is like music. Deep and mellow. Even if it were to give me more HP it's not worth the trade off for a loud machine.

thanks for all the help guys. I bought reeds and reed spacers and plan on doing the thin gasket mod also have another 48 studs to install . this should give me a little more power. Mike
