stronger exciter TSS springs?

Check out the esciter II mod in the other yamaha section.
Vmax540 has some great pics of and exciter he put vmax 500 struts on.

You can compare part numbers here:

If you really like to tinker, then get the parts from a 96 vmax XT front suspension and you'll be able to adjust each side right where you want it, especially if you want to lean it to one side and circle track it!! Every other season or so give her a couple of clicks and it'll ride just like it used to!!

Are theese still available in US?

I bought a pair of those about 7-8 years ago from http://www.aaenperformance.com/ They were clearing out some stuff after yamaha started building the trailing arm suspension bodies in 97. If you can find them, buy 'em, worth every penny. Made the old TSS ride great!!

The front Struts from the 1994-96 Vmax 5-600cc sleds will give you 2" more travel ! You need the longer shock covers, springs and aluminum knuckles along with the struts. You can find them fairly reasonable on E-bay, any parts forum or salvage yards ! I bought a set of brand new(rare) Genuine Yamaha GYT Kit struts off of E-bay that were an upgrade for the Vmax 5-600 sleds with adjustable dampening, rebound and slightly longer travel for $75.00 ! Yamaha part # SMA-8CA91-10-00

Picture shows the difference between a standard Exciter/Phazer and a Exciter with 1994-1996 Vmax 600 struts
