I have a 1997 SX700 and installed heel klicker's in the primary last year. I really wished i didn't go that route. The sled is a rocket out of the hole and no matter what set up " and i have tried just about all" i just cant get past the 85 to 90 mph mark. Should i just scrap this kit. Are they garbage? If so can is an SRX clutch compatable with the SX and is this a direct bolt on to my sled. Saddly i threw out my old clutch parts as i was told they were worn out. I keep reading tips from other members and everything alway's boils down to stock set up is best. Discouraged.

Did you try running a shallow finish helix (something like a 34 degree or a couple degrees in either direction?) I had the same problem as you with my piped 600, I loved the way those weights pulled, but I couldn't pull any top end beyond 100 mph on the speedo. Found out that my route cause was because the shallowest i went on the helix was a 41 degree... not near shallow enough. Sold the kit before i read any of the good posts by TURK or MrViper700. These guys and a few more really like the Heelclickers for the way they perform. I was actually going to buy another kit once i had the cash in hand. Don't give up so fast unless you've tried everything... EVERYTHING as Heelclickers are a great kit. Hang in there
what are you running for a primary spring? How about the secondary? If your running heel clickers instructions there garbage. You can make them work.
Run 40/10,s with stock helix. 3 grams heel & inner & tip empty. trust me; you go very fast now! make sure your using the tall cover primary or else you get coil binding with the red spring & you will never get full shift out in the primary clutch. trust me on this set up.I will bet your using the short cover primary. If not what are your topped out rpm,s? Should be about 8400ish for your best top end on that sled.

Thanks for the great feedback. I will try again to get this set up right. Turk, it is written very clear on T.Y. that you are the master when it comes to Heel Klicker's amoung other things and your word is gold. I am curently am running a stock helix and have 3grm weight center and 3grm tip, 3.5grm shoulder and red spring, taller end cap. I had a can on it as well but have went back to stock. Seems like it was just noise polution to me. I will set it up to your specs and pray for snow.
