which way is up??

Urgent, I am cleaning the power valves on my 2000 SRX 700 tripple. We have had them out for six months and can't remeber which side is up. The specs and diagrams are a little vague. Smooth side up or beveled side?? (the sliding side of the valve) thanks

the bevelved side down, the side thats not cut goes up!

no problem!! no its very bad, no snow and it does not look like we can drive before christmas this year either...
