I've got a 1998 Yamaha XTC 700 Deluxe that I did the headgasket mod to, re geared, clutched, re-jetted and did the silencer mod to.
Last trip out last year the temp light would come on when idling. I figured there was a air bubble in the lines. So I was going to do a 136 kit and ended up not doing it. I did end up draining the coolant for the kit attempt so I refilled it today. (I also put a new used SXR gas tank and a SXR oil tank on it.) Fired it up, held the oil pump line open until it smoked like crazy and when I revved it up to 3000 rpms and let off it would bog when I tried to rev it past three grand again. Does anyone know what would cause this? Is it the TORS? I've attached a link to a viseo I took - you can't see much in the video, but you can here what it's doing pretty well.

Definately TORS. Check your the little switches on the flipper and on where the throttle cable attaches to the carb rack. Did you adjust free play on the throttle cable at all? Something is out of adjustment or not seated properly.

I'll look into it more tomorrow and look at the TORS - although I didn't mess with that stuff. Thanks for you input! It kinda freaked me out - I'm like "oh oh - that doesn't sound too good"
