I put the new track on last night, and followed the instrutions I found in the technical pages section of TY. What a huge help, still took some time but emliminated almost all the gueswork.
I removed the chain tensioner bolt per the instuctions, but know the jamb nut moved slightly. I'm worried my chain may be too tight. What's the proper way to adjust the tension on the chain?
Thanks

turn it in finger tight, then loosen it 1/8 turn. lock the jam nut. Maxdlx

I always thought finger tight then lock the lock nut?
and I wonder how tight is finger tight? and how strong are your fingers? with the cover off, and as i tighten with my fingers, there is a considerable difference in the tension with very little adjustment
I'm willing to be there's a spec that specifies how much deflection the chain should have in mm when properly adjusted. I have yet to find it though......

Finger tight is using the same force it takes to run the bolt in with no load on it. As soon as you have to start putting extra effort into it, it is more than finger tight.
From my manual:

guess I should have checked the manual

If you tighten it without the cover on the tensioner may slip off the post and cause issues. Get it close but don't final adjust without the cover on the chaincase.
By the way watch the torque on the battery tray hold down bolts (if your's is electric). They must be grade 1. I twisted a head right off one with my 1/4" ratchet.
