1972 Chapparal Firebird 340, It was actually intended to be Mom's but I soon took it over. I was 8 and riding my own sled with the big boy's LOL.

Definatley some of the fondest memories as a kid.

It was around a 1980 enticer 250 one lunger when I was 12. The next year I made the jump to a 1987 Exciter 570, big upgrade.

1970 Herter's Husky Oh yea that was a ride
got the sled back it was sitting at a friends of my dads behind the machine shed, someday I am going to restore it. But I thought I better take when he afford it to me free just to get rid of it.

My first sled was a 74 jag 340 air cooled. Maybe it was a 72.Anyways, I thought it was the coolest. About 3 inches of travel in the rear and ol slappy skis up front. I use to break horses when I was younger and that jag gave me a rougher ride than any horse!
I squeeked that thing 4 times in the first winter. As soon as temps would get over 0*, she go no more.lol
That is when I knew sleddin was for me.
mul.

81 ski-doo citation my dad had bought brand new
92 Ski-doo formula plus
98 Yamaha SRX 600 (me and my brother bought it, we still own it, although he uses is mostly)
02 Yamaha SXViper (my current sled)

My Dad and Uncle started my brother and I out on John Deere Trailfires when we were around 7-8 years old; loved those sleds! Then we rented a few Enticers on a trip one year and were Yammie fans. I split the cost with my parents on a 1991 Phazer II (still have it for parts (unfortunate encounter with a tree stump bent the heck out fo the frame).

We still have several Phazers, an Ovation (great kids sled as well) and I have an '02 SRX and a '93 Exciter II SX.

Love Yammies!

My first was an old panther with the gastank in back, didn't want that to happen to my 6 year old so I made him this

I started out on a 72 elan 250 and now my oldest boy is riding a 74 elan 250 w/ the possibilty of going to a tnt 300 if I can get it running good. I still like to bomb around on that little elan, its a blast.

'89 Exciter was my first sled. I can still remember the first winter I had that sled. We got a huge dumping of snow, like 28" in two days. It was only like my 4-5 time riding it since I got the sled, and my first time riding in that deep of snow, I was getting stuck left and right, but I had a blast. I've been hooked ever since.

My first sled was a '73 kitty cat. Dad bought it for me in '76. In '78 or '79 he moved me into a '74 sm292. I still have both sleds - they are still running too!
