Had my sled out for the first time today and she is running great. I took it easy first so she could stretch her legs a bit and then after 8-9 km's I let her out. A 1996 vmax 600 dx twin and on the straight she topped out at around 167km/h. This was on a flat road with about 3 inches compact snow and a couple inches of powder on top. For an older sled I was impressed and cant wait till next time out. Lets hear about some other first time rides for the season from the rock or anywhere else for that matter.

Rode the 96 Vmax 600xt into the garage for maintinance .0001 miles got her up to 5 mph  .

Pulled the blown up restoration 96 Vmax DX in too, got her up to .01 mph.

Have fun Bud we are at least 30 days away from any rideable snow here in lower Michigan.

:letitsnow

If all goes well this weekend will be my first riding of the season. As long as it doesn't turn mild and get rainy :letitsnow :letitsnow

Mind you I will have to use my Street Bike Lid and I haven't ordered a Snow Suit yet..lol, I guess some old pants and jacket will do to feed the need

Took the Attack, 700 SXr and the proaction Phazer out last night. 1st time on the Attack and it blew the Piped SXr away. We have GOOD snow in SW lower MI!!!

AIRBLUE what are you talking about??? It started snowing here on thursday night and we are getting HAMMERED with lake effect in the Grand Rapids area. We are under a lake effect snow warning until 11 tonight and we have a good 8-12" on the ground. 30 days away? I'm goin riding tonight! you are on the wrrong side of the state my man!

Took my 04 Viper S out for the first time. Hit 150kph in about 300 feet. Huge difference from the 94 V-max I rode last year. I let my wife ride it and she wouldn't give it back. Now I have to sell the V-max and get another Viper. Anyone want to buy a mint 94 V-MAX500ST?

It wasn't in eastern NFLD, that's for sure. We only got an inch of snow, but we might be getting 8 inches tonight, ...fingers crossed!

Cheers.

amazing what a couple of hundred measealy miles can do.here in the soo,6 or so inches, northbay ontario got buried.if they were any kind of good neighbors they would give some to us!have to put the predator track on the vmax on my days off then im ready.if i need a quick fix i could take out the intruder(kawasaki) for a spin.

We got sh*t for snow up in the thumb here,,damn coating thats it.. #$%&*

Last weekend I took the mm700 out for the first time since re-ringing and porting. I was running extra oil premix so it wasnt as snappy as it could be.
However there were areas we were riding in that had drifts over six feet with an overall base of two feet. Two and a halve hours to the north of me in Revelstoke they have a nine foot base with two feet of fresh powder already.

Let the season begin!!!

Tom
