I just put a bender 4x4 pipe and can on my viper and was wondering what RPM it should be running at now? It was running at 9000rpm all day long where before it was at about 8700-8800. I havent ever touched the clutch.
I would like to say the sled feels faster now but it hard to tell because last time i rode stock was last season. It is only a little bit louder now than it was before. I figured it would be a lot louder than it is, it has a nice deep rumble to it at idle and at WOT it is not obnoxiously loud, just beefier. Next time i ride i will get a sound clip.

you should be around 8700-8800. with can and pipe you gain a little power so shes pulling more rpms, add weight to bring her down.

Yes that is very true. A buddy of mine (rx1yama18 on the site) has one on his sled, and it definately got louder as the packing burned out.

you are over-reving which looses power

Vipers make peak Hp's at 8700 to 8800 so you are not that far off.

Cool, so how much weight do you think i should add to bring them down?
I bought the pipe and can used, so there is a good chance it is as loud as it will be, which is fine, i am happy with the sound.
