Has anyone used this primary clutch update kit?

I have not tried that kit although I have heard some really good results with the straight line performance clutch set ups.

All that does is allow u to run a/c & polaris weights. The weights are cheap but you can,t change the weight placement as they are a fixed gram amount.

Will it work on my 94? My primary has about 4500 miles on it and has been untouched other than a new spring and a cleaning while still on machine. I need a affordable clutch guy to rebuild it or do a little R and R. PM if interested in doing this. I updated secondary late in the season to the 95-96 style. Just trying to get by with my old 94 until 2008/2009 Model year when I plan to purchase 2 new sleds. Need to see how UAW contract talks pan out. I also had some elbow surgery this year that set me back about $3000 is wages that I wasn't expecting.

I won't be buying any big ticket items untill 2009 when our contract is up, I work for the airline with the big red leaf on it.

Sucks to be you the only person that made money from them is celion dion.In other words air canada took money from you hard working people and gave it to her.

The kit will probably not do much for your clutch and you would probably notice little difference. You would have to buy the kit and then Arctic Cat or Polaris weights, and try to figure out which ones to use. And there may be nothing wrong with your weights. There may not even be anything at all wrong with your clutch.

I can tell you that the weight bushings will wear out much faster than the Yamaha ones. This year we've had to replace all the weight bushings in the Polaris and Arctic Cat clutches we work on. Our 2001 Yamaha sleds still have the original bushings and still are in good shape. It's one of those reliablility things that Yamaha does. The last thing I would want to do is go back to the Comet style smaller pin clutch weights.
Just my .02 worth from experience.
