Long traveled the rear on my 98 srx and decided to just flip the front shock mounts and use the stock shocks. Now i've heard you are supposed to flip them and switch them for left right, well when i tried this i found the shock points at the wrong angel to bolt back on to the trailing arm.(meaning it's angled too far back on the trailing arm) just wondering if you are supposed to bend the wings on the bracket where the bolt goes through to make it sit right? right now i just flipped the mounts and left them on the same side and found that the shock angle didn't change and bolted up nicely. any input would be great thanks.

If I remeember, I had to switch left/rt also. but i needed to add some washers to one of the bolts ( top or bottom, can't remember) and grind away some of teh bulkhead flange and bracket flange to not interfere with the shock mount........
I didn't help much did I.... if what you did works, then ...well......it works i guess
bottom line, get the front to raise about 1" to work with the longer travel rear........

you flip them left for right and upside down. install them with two washers under the lower mount hole to space them from the plastic belly pan. with them loosly installed, try to bolt the shock in place, you will see where the mount needs a little notch cut in it to clear the upper spring washer on the shock. remove it and grind it and reinstall it.

I bought a set of front shock mounts on e-bay for $25 that gave me almost 2" of lift. Very well designed.
