I am thinking about and m-10 in an 01 srx but I am nervous about too much lss of performance would it be low or top end and could this be offset or hepled by running 8" rear wheels? Thanks Stan

prolly 3-5 mph on the top. that is what i have heard but i never did the m-10 because ii heard it take that off the top, i cant afford to loose 3-5 mph off the top.

I think mainly speed and transfer.....May also mess the front end up handling wise being up higher if you leave the front end short....

Big John ( has a performance shop for anyone not familiar with him ) over on SnoWest said I'm losing about 10 mph on top end on my trail ported 01 800 MXZ because of the M10. I would like to have that speed, but would want a rear suspension that would ride fairly close to the M10, before I would take it out.
i saw about 6-8 of top end loss and about 20 of midrange gained over the bumps.
installed a 8in wheel kit and got back all or nearly all of it. as for transfer, if the suspension is set up correctly and transfer blocks are set and or cut correctly it will transfer fine. besides, a sled that lifts the front end off the ground is waisting two things, power and suspenion travel.
love that m10

BTV,
Curious to hear how you have your M-10 set up. Your weight, limter strap setting etc

suspension has been sold and installed in a rx now.
as for bolt in, i used the front stock location, moved my stock rear mount plate and moved my hole ahead about 3/4
then cut the spacer block off about 1/4 off the bottom. i ran the front limiter all the way out, last hole.
the fra was at about 1/4 the way tward stiff valving on the slot, front spring was set on lowest setting, the rear was then set for my weight to get an even gap. the front was set at the lowest setting so the front end wouldnt lift when i sat on the sled. this will give better handling. if i had kept the sled, i would have changed out the front spring for a stiffer one. i like the front springs to have no preload when unloaded and to bring up fast. if i cant run little or no preload i will go to a stiffer spring. just never got a chance to mess with it more. the skid i had only had click adjust shock on the front and it was very limiting to how loose you can run the spring or what spring you can run on it. threaded shocks you can run about anything.

M-10 is awesome. What you may loose across the lake, well makes up for the gain on the trail. When the trails are rough ,in a matter of minutes i can not even see my other friends behind me . They have to slow down for the bumps, and the M-10 just soaks them up. The sled does get a little tippy because it sits so high. Jeff Wurl
if it is tippy, it is set up with too much ride height or you may have some wore out parts.
