2001 sxr 700. 2 layers removed from head gasket, silencer mod, reed notch, and 51/43 helix. I have a 40 tooth lower (1 tooth bigger) lower sprocket, and a 1 inch track, otherwise stock. Trail conditions here are very bumpy, so my rpm estimates mmay be slightly off, but the sled is overeving for sure. Myself 190 lbs it turns 8900-9000, my wife 110 lbs 9100-9200 rpm's. I need to tune it for my wife (110 lbs). How much weight inner and outer? The stock rivets are currently installed. All springs and bushings are in great shape or new, secondary is wraped at 70.
Stock is a 3.6 gram inner & a 4,5 gram outer. usually a 51/43 brings down rpm,s closer then that but your lower gearing is messing that up. Change inner rivet to a 4.5 & peen over a small washer(make sure it does not go over the edge of the weight cus it will hit the roller). Run the secondary at 60. Should get ya closer to 8500 rpm & have a better holeshot.

Turk, this is a ? for you....
On my 2000 SXR 700, i just extended it to 136", this is the set up that i have at the moment( Stock weights, 4.5 in each hole, im not sure what the primary spring it, i think its a stock viper spring with 2 shims, green secondary, with stock helix@70, 22/40 gears) Will this work or is there anything that i should change, i was told to go with a straight helix for the best back shift, i ride mostly woods and when i play im on and off the throttle alot, thanks for the help on the grass also, sled ran great!!!

51/43 or rx-1 helix will give you a little stronger mid with good backshift at 70 wrap.
