difference between helixes

I was wondering what the difference between these two helixes are
48-42 advantage and rx-1 51-43 and which one be better for my 2001 srx for aggressive trail riding. Also what is the difference for setting the degrees 70 or 80

48/42 advantedge is a lot more aggressive. We had an angle finder out one day & were measuring out my helix,s (I had about 30 at that time) The angle finder read 5 degrees more on the initial angle on the advantedges plus they held a steeper angle a lot longer whereas most of the other helix,s shallowed out a lot faster. Bender helix,s were also a lot more aggressive.

Turk when you say more aggressive do you mean they hold the start angle longer. Example say you've got 2 48/40 helix's. One is an advantage and one is a Dalton. The Advantage would hold the 48 degree angle for a longer duration on the ramp then the Dalton would. Is that what you mean?

Dirkmeister......The advantage 48 actually started out life as a 53ish start according to angle finder where as the dalton read a true 48. Following the curve of the ramp the dalton/brand x style started shallowing out very quickly so at 1/2 way down the side of the ramp the dalton would read 42 where as the advantedge would be up around a 46. The finish angles on all helix,s including the advantedge would be bang on.
 
Thanks guys for your comments. What about the different setting on the spring? What does that do 60 or 70 degrees?
 
also currious about the spring does it increase the pressure to make it harder for the secondary to open, going from 60 to 70 does this bring the revs up.

More secondary twist makes it harder to open & slows the upshift. Too much twist & it won,t upshift to the bottom; stay in 2nd gear & heat up the belt/shives. Too little & the belt upshifts too quickly; gets stuck in a higher gear & the belt slips. You want just enuff pressure so it upshifts with out slipping. Never; ever use secondary twist to control rpm,s.

no! less twist whitout slipping the belt the faster you go!! more twist makes it backshift better though!
