Hey guys, I threw my sled together in like a day so that we could go up to the Rib Lake radar runs that was held by TY. I first just want to say that there were tons of fast yammies out their and I was really suprised. While running these pipes, I change my jetting to 150, 148.8, 148.8 for mains and I also richened up my pilots to 45. First time going through the strip, I wasn't sure what to expect and I hadent warmed up the sled and let it run that much but I went through at 115 and was pretty disappointed at first. I went through another run right after that and pulled another 115. I was pretty upset at this point. Then From hearing about how these pipes like to perform I did a couple laps around the lake to warm the pipes up. I went throw the strip and pull off a 120MPH run. I finally felt a little relief. I went through again while the pipes were hot and pulled a 121 MPH. Then my best for the day I pulled off a 123 MPH with the vents open to the pipes. I was pretty happy when I heard of the 123 MPH run and others were very impressed. These pipes pull just about the same Rpm as my stockers would pull off memory of last year and I was running these pipes at about 8400. I still had my viper front and rear suspension on my sled so I am sure that I could have gotten another 2-3 MPH if I were running the stock suspension.
On a side note, another SRX that was running there and running well I decided to challenge in a race. (I am sorry for not catching your name if you read this) He was getting about the same radar numbers as me and I thought it would be a good race. We were running on about a half mile track and when we raced not one of us gained a foot on another the entire way down the track. I will admit it was probably one of my favorite races of my life and I cant wait till we do another radar run so I can tune mine in alittle better. I will give the Power Inc pipes a thumbs up as they have a very nice sound to them, they are 18 pounds lighter then stock, and they seem to make equal if not more HP.

I will get a longer better sound clip of them up later. These pipes are extremely rare and you will need luck to find a set. I picked mine up in the $400 range shipped. I Personally do not think these pipes are too loud but they have a very nice growl to them. As for my other mods, I am running a stock 700 engine with some V-force 2 reeds and my clutching is all of the work that we do. I am running out roller secondary and our overdrive and it is performing very well. The sled is a strong runner and even the guy on the SRX admitted it because his had some work done to it. lol
Let me know if you have any other questions.

Yes, those are the other ones that hooked up to the stock silencer. The ones I got have the 3 stingers. Both perform extremely well.

More gains? It is adding about 5 HP on top of the stock pipes, has a GREAT sound to it which I will post up, drops 18 pounds, and once I get them ceramic coated, they should look pretty sweet too. I am happy I found a set of these and they are one of the better investments I have made to my sled. Bottom and midrange has increased greatly.
BTW, lifting the frontend of my sled now is a breeze. With the lightweight front end and the pipes now, I have shaved about 35 pounds off the front alone.

2000 is there any way you can dyno it. you also said that it was pulling the same rpm as the stockers. i dont see any gain there?
THIS IS NOT DISTRUCTIVE CRITISIZUM. just want to know. I am very interested in these pipes.

I have no way of dynoing it right now and even if I could I wouldn't know what I put out stock without a dyno of that aswell. Clutching had been altered slightly since last year and there have been changes to the sled to bring RPM down. I am pretty sure that the pipes are not losing any HP. It is either the same or higher. I didn't mean to come off wrong earlier, I just see lots of gains out of these pipes. Hope this helps

Not bashing, but how can you say you see "lots of gains"? There was no back to back comparison on the same day, same conditions, etc. The only real way to know would be to dyno it with stock & these or run them back to back.

Goodwin has a dyno. He's in your back yard. (Zion) He dialed in and dynoed my 2001 SRX.

I don't mean to be offensive at all, but if you invest that much time and money into a project, you'll feel a difference in power whether it's there or not. And realistically, 5hp at the crank is like 3 at the crank? same difference in power to weight ratio as shedding a gallon of fuel from the tank. I don't think you'll feel that difference without a tool to help you, be it a timing system to make a pass, or a dyno.
Again, I really really don't mean any offense here, just taking it with a grain of salt and giving you the opportunity to remove the doubt. Which isn't really your responsibility, since you're not selling these pipes anyways, so there's not much in it for you to go out and spend $300 on dyno time for back to back runs with and without the pipes.

I will be comparing them to the stock pipes later in the year one day to show the changes in power. Goodwins only has a track dyno so that would not help to much in determaining the hp of the Pipes. As for the pipes weight losses, you can say what you want but 18 pounds is ALOT of weight. Several people spend $1200 for front end kits which save 16 pounds. I don't care about the Criticism as I want to hear your opinions about the pipes. IMO however, for all the benefits these pipes provide even excluding the power, they were still worth the money.

Sorry but 123mph does not sound fast for a machine that has thousands invested in it.
Light weight front end, pipes, windage plates, clutching.
There are some SRX's around here that run in the lower 120's all day long without that kind of money invested....your sled still looks awesome though. There is a guy down the street that hits 119.1 with his pipes Vmax....dont know what he has done to that machine.

Then just say they are 18 lbs lighter than stock and about the same performance as stock. Don't make a claim that they make 5 hp more when you have no real idea if they do or not. Once you have the information of a before & after test with the stock pipes then put that they gained "X" amount in performance! If some guy buys these pipes from your posts because he thinks he's gonna bolt on 5 easy HP and then dynos them after spending $400+ and they don't make any extra HP he's gonna be pretty pissed.
