ok, I was going to ask about that bearing if it was pressed together, or 1 piece....
I was worried about those set screws....but they turned pretty easily
Now I just need to get the top shaft out.....and it is supposed to come out independent of the brake rotor right?? Basically, I want to remove the chaincase all together, to ake it easier to remove the bearings

wow, I caught this just in time...
That bearing (which got so hot it burnt the oil) is SOOO hard to turn....
Wow, I cannot image how much power I was losing...and it still easily passed 100MPH!!!

Anybody know if those bearings (in the picture above) were installed correctly. If I remember correctly the seals on mine were facing out, and exposed bearings facing inward, and they were original, as installed by yamaha during production??????
