Ok, in my saga to rebuild my sled's motor, I finally have spark. Hard to believe, but once I replaced the plug caps, I had spark. It even ran for the amount of time that there was mix gas in the cylinder. Looks like tomorrow I"m moving on to check the pulse pump. I replaced the pulse line with some vacuum hose since I had to cut it when I pulled the motor. I know I was a little bit longer than original (maybe by a couple of inches, not fractions.) Could it be loosing vacuum/pulse due to a longer length? What do I need to look for to make sure I'm pumping fuel? Just pull the lines off the carbs and see if they are pumping gas? I didn't pull a long time, but I could swear I could smell a little gas. Could have been the gas that was coming out the exhaust that I directly put into the jug.
I think it's finally coming along. I'm excited. It may be alive soon. Especially since there is no chance of snow in the near future.

It most likely has just lost its prime, you either can drip some more gas into the cylinder method a few times, and try to catch the engine with the choke lever to keep it going and it primes itself or you can take a rag and air compressor and use the rag to seal off the neck and puff a small amount of air into the fueltank, this will push fuel to the pump for you. One thing to be carefull of is dont use the thin wall vac hose on the pulse line as it can and will collapse from the fuel vapor and mist from the engine, dont want to see you burning up your new motor from leaning down the fuel flow. Always use the thick wall fuel line for the pulse hose.
I think I still have the original laying around. I only cut about 1/2" off of it. I'd bet I did lose prime, especially since I drained the tank, replaced the filter, etc. I didn't even check to see if I had the choke open or not....it's been a long summer....

Glad to hear ya got it fixed,do like MV7 said, she just needs to get primed.
use pre-mix down the cyls.
don't run it too much when you do get it running, you want to break it
in right when we get some snow.

That's tonights task. I figure I'll run it enough to get the coolant bled and that's about it. I've still got premix in a can so I'll use that to prime.
