I am looking at a 91 Phazer ll That is in mint cond. every thing wooks but the kill swich. And it has a gold pro shock in the back, ski skins and the only dent on the sled is on the shock tower and you can't notice it unless you look really closely. It has electric start and it may need a new battery. the sled has 2800 miles on it. the guy is asking $1100 for it. Is that good price? should I offer less?

I'd work on the price since it needs a batt.,that's a high for shure.

i only paid $1,600 for my '94 with alot less miles years ago.

I would throw $850 or less at him. Maybe offer him $750. I like to say something like "I can you give $750 for it right know" then reach for the wallet. For some reason the right now seems to work for me. If they don't except put wallet away and tell them you will have to think about it. You can always negotiate up. Low ball them first and work your way up.

just remember one thing.the cost is revelevant to the desire or need.some people may think 1100 is too high which in reality it proably is ,but joe blow may of always liked old phazers and looks it over and thinks 1100 is cheap vs. the cost of a new sled.i got a grand into my 1979 440 kawasaki intruder which i will never get out of it but to me it was worth it as i always wanted one from the day they were new.the grand is cost of sled plus motor rebuild.of course weather plays a big part in it too.lots of snow equals better coin vs rain, less coin.raining here now lol.

I bought my 94 vmax ST 600 longtrack with 4100 miles a few years ago for $1000.00 which I thought was a good deal at the time.

Cougar85 hit it on the head. Worth is relative-one man's trash is another's treasure. My first sled was a '91 Phazer II LE-I loved that sled-so much so that when I bent the frame ona stump I have purchased three more like it (one from NY which I drove to get in 25 hrs. from Chicago round rip) to build one complete, near mint sled.

Yes, I am crazy-but there are others like me who are willing to pay whatever $$ to get their "dream" sled, etc.

Just remember also. A good, clean, nice running sled reguardless of age will more often than not bring a grand or so. Most of the older phazers in my area bring between $800.00 and $1500.00 all day long. I have seen beat to death ones bring as much as $600.00.

Here she is. I did have to pay $1100 but it was worth it!

Nope. If I didn't get it this guy who would not have taken good care of it would have. so I couldn't help my self. After all :yrules:

Think snow!

Let's see some side shots-if the only issues were the two cosmetics-footwell (common and happens eventually) and the shock tower dent (common and happens eventually)-then you got a great deal!

Here you go,

Couple small spots of boubling paint right below the seat, missing one hood hook knob and as i said the kill has to be held down to stop the motor.
