Daman we have 175 acres on our farm so i got lots of testing area on our own private property...
toppgun... thanks thats perfect all the details i was looking for i might just wait this season out then and see if i can afford a expert-x next year... when you had your stock skid with transfer rods whats the best way to get the sled to stand up better? liek how can i adjust rods to be more of a wheelier...
expertxviper... thanks for the heads-up i guess ill wait till i can afford a whoel new skid instead of going for the shock upgrade...
I think what im going to do is shoot for a cat skid and install... i figure with the extra cash i can get the rails powder coated, then all billet wheels and then if anymore is left i really want to try and throw a set of 8000k HIDs on the sled....
also is there a major loss to M10 vs. expert cause i see m10s on ebay alot more then expert-x
thanks...

With the stock skid setup for your weight, I found it best to have my transfer rods set a few clicks down from full transfer....Full transfer was to much for it and you would just sit and spin....As Turk said somewhere earlier if your looking for traction your skis 2 ft in the air is not where you want to be...A good say 4-6 inches is more where you want to be...That way you are getting transfer but keeping almost your whole track on the ground instead of the 5 inch spot around the rear wheels.
Just play with your rods when you get out there and find the sweet spot for yours.

M-10 is a better ride, however loose of top speed, and limited weight transfer
Expert- Still a good ride, no lose in speed, and great hook up

Thanks guys..
topgun ill check out portyamaha sounds good im shooting for a bunch of billet stuff...
daman- it has its pros and cons good things are we use our front corn field and multch the stocks down to the ground in strips... leaving 4 strips down the field with 2 stock wide rows between them for drag racing.. so its liek 25 foot clear.. then a row of corn stocks two wide (2ft of corn stocks) then the next 25 foot clear spot and so on so forth... makes a pretty good drag strip it goes along our lane which is a quarter mile almost exactly so with cool down area we usually can run a 1000 ft race safely.. which is awsome for racing but the nearest ofsc trails are 30min with trailer so that sucks...
As far as suspension thanks for all the help so far... im going to keep an eye on ebay and the classfieds and with the budget see what i can doo

It all depends on what type of a rider you are and what condtions you normally ride in. That tells ya what suspension to get.
M10- More for a conservative rider, riding in normal trail condtions but still good when the trail gets rough.
ExpertX- More for the agressive rider, that pushes hard when the trail gets rough. Better for a bump sled IMO, thats why I went with a Expert. Plus I have yet to hear of any one destroying one of these skids.
Do a search on the 2 and see what fits you best, thats all I gotta say.
