99 SXR 600 Choke Rod Stuck

I have a 99 SXR 600 with the choke rod will not travel all of the way to full choke. This problem was fixed by a dealer last year, and it will only travel about 1/8" - 1/4", when trying to engage the choke. Any Ideas? I am stumped on this one.

Either your choke cable is to tight and needs to be adjusted or somethings stuck on your carbs.Dont try to force the choke open or it will stretch or break the cable. Also check your cable to see that its not hung up anywhere around your breather box.

Working on it for a buddy, how much should that rod move in and out?
