A guy is selling locally a 2003 Viper with Electric start and reverse. Sled looks really good and only has 816 miles on it. He is asking $4500 which I thought seems a little high. Maybe it isn't and I am just cheap.

little high from what I have seen. lots of leftovers make the used sleds worht very little, at least around me

Blue book on it from a dealer would be about $ 4295.00. Thats in mint condition! Trade in would be around 3000.00

eLECTRIC START AND REVERse does make a sled a lot more market friendly these days - the average age of a snowmobiler has gone up every year for the last couple.

I paid $5999 for my 03 Viper ER new on 1-1-05. I would think a Viper with 800 miles on it would be worth $3500-$4000.
Sandman,
Earlier this fall I can across a dealer on the West side of our state that had a new left over 02 or 03 Viper. I cannot remember the year for sure or if it was a ER. If I remember anything, the dealer was asking either $4,500 or $4,800. The only reason I looked at it was this was the lowest price I had seen for a new leftover Viper. I have not seen one advertised below $5,000 anywhere. I think the dealers name started with a "B". It was not a dealer that I had ever heard of. Sorry that I cannot remember anything more. If I get a chance, I will see if I can find it again. G.B.

Ok, I know this is long shot if you are even interested. I searched the Yamaha dealer listings and found two dealers That begin witih the letter "B". I remember being surprised that the dealer was in Michigan after seeing it. And I am fairly confident that the name started with a "B" and the asking price was $4,800 or less for a new Viper.

Thats high for an 03. There are much better deals than that. You can throw away the book prices, they really dont apply to sleds, prices are market driven.

Sand if its the one one I think on fort. I looked at it and it didnt look to bad. That is high wich I told the guy he was also. If you could beat him down it would be good.Looked like 800 hard miles good luck. BLUE

He also has a 02 Viper also with 1400 miles. Both for 6500 would be nice. That is the one. Rear suspension seemed kinda stiff.

i would pay 3500-3700 at the most
I was at the local dealer last weekend, they had a 03 mountain viper with 1300 kms and they were asking 7000.00 CND. plus 13 % tax. Thats $7910.00. My wife laghed at him. But they will probably get it. Sled are way more money here in Canada.
