Was talking to my dad tonight he went to the dealership to get me a billet cap for my sled and the dealer said that thats the worst thing you can do as the expansion of the aluminum and the plastic is diffenent and something to do with the return line causes it so be hard to get off and he said you will take the threads right off of the tank and need a new one.... if its true it was nice of him to tell me... but damn they look awsome

any thoughts>?

Only problem I had with mine was someone decided they liked it more on their sled then mine, when I came out from the bar/food stop, my cap was gone!! Good thing I thought of putting the stock cap in the trunk for this very reason....LOL!!

Same, here, Had it for three years, no problem, Blue one at that. Someone decided they shoudl have it more then me. For some reason I had been carrying the stock one in the trunk.

gas cap

I have had one for 2 yrs and never a problem. Mr Viper is right about taken an extra one with you. You never know

It's nice to see others who have put these on, I got on and really adds to the look. I too put the stock cap in my trunk you never know.

Yes mrviper is definately right, i think 3 or 4 of my buddies have had them go missing over a lunchtime break. They definately do add to the look of the machine though, priced one through the dealership and they want i think close to $80 which i think is kinda ridiculous

very nice add on , and hold's a "POP" quite nicely on top!! Go tell the dealer he doesn't know what the hell he is talking about.

That is ridiculous that someone would steal a f1221ng gas cap. I hope they are real proud of themselves.

Its terrible at a few spots around us, you better have anything removeable removed from your sled and taken into the restaurant with you or you will come out and it'll be gone. Its pretty bad when there taking gas caps for god sakes
