Clutches aligned and cleaned, clean and adjust pv's, belt deflection, new 8dn belt, check ALL bearings. I am in the process of going through this list, so I thought i'd post it to you.

Alright thanks a lot, i did the powervalves today, cleaned and adjusted them using the 900 rpm method, i think the next step im going to take is the track tension and i'll check all the skidframe bearings while im at that

Alright i will do that as well
I have been studying this topic for over a year. It seems many do not have enough info to make a real good suggestion for helix angles for the srx with hc weights. I agree a 50 36 or other multi angle helix in theory should be perfect to keep that hole shot and maintain top speed, BUT one thing we are no hearing, is that any multi angle helix in an srx will and does eat your clutch bushngs very fast under anything other than hard packed riding. Here is my point, you can run a multi angle on HARD packed or in a race, but put an srx with a multi angle in powder or deep fluff, kiss your clutch goodbye, it wont last. a sure round safe bet is a straight 41 or 43 for all conditions. I know racers who use them, and they swear that all tricks for helix angles mentioned on TY forums do not take into account the set up being used anywhere else but on hard packed or trail racing.
hope this helps

multi angle helixs eats your clutch bushings................??????????LOL!!
You have just as good of a chance of a multi angle helix eating your clutch bushings as you do of getting struck by lightning in a snow storm.

How would a multi angle helix eat your clutch up??? Besides i dont do any riding in powder really, other then the very occasional trip into a drift or something, i just dont understand how running a multi angle helix would eat bushings, mrviper really seems to know his stuff so im going to try the new helix, something has got to change the performance of this machine
