If it is stock remove the sway bay, replace the yokohama track, install a light weight muffler,use a light weight hood,light weight seat mountain performance light weight skid,aftermaket tunnel, lighter weight skis,

Oh wait now I am just dreaming of what I want to do to my mm700f
 
Lots of places to loose on them but most will cost you some $. I'd start with the big hitters like the stock can, seat, the Yokohama track, idler wheel removal (scrathers are cheap), MPI transfer kit/ or ditch the stock skid, stock parking brake assembly. It gets more exensive from there......trailing arms, radius rods, spindles, tunnel, hood, brake rotor and hub. One thing is for sure, there are plenty of places to loose weight on these.
 
go 144 and you can usually find a used one for cheap that someone has changed out. You can do an offset axle, rail extensions, or just set the skid back to make up the difference.

don't really want to do rail extentions or move skid back... but what involved with "offset axle"... anyone with pics?... referring to rear axle????

It's an axle that is offset and allows you to run 8" rear wheels. I you put in in backwards, you can run 8" wheels and take up the space of the longer track. Rail extensions are probably cheaper. I have pictures of my offset axle and big wheels on here somewhere.......
 
pick up a polaris or or cat skid foir 300-350.00 and lose about 20lbs right there.
