Miles untouched!
I currently have 4000 miles on the viper, motor has never been opened and I see no reason to yet. I also have a polaris with 12000 miles untouched as well. My old 1998 skidoo had a whopping 14000 miles and the motor was never opened, everything else on the sled was falling apart though.

My family had a 1990 Phazer II that had over 10,000 miles on it untouched, then sold the sled to a family friend, they still have it and have been riding it for the past 6 years without touching the motor. Not sure of the miles on it now though.

my 98 srx700 had 12500 kms before i put new rings in it still ran strong.
My 00 SRX 700 has just over 10,000 miles and still goes.
I don't know how you guys do it. I can't seem to get 1000 miles on a sled before I have the top end off of it. I didn't think you could ride one of these trhings stock. LOL Maxdlx

I have a 89 phazer with 27,000 km's on it. I have never touched the engine and yes the compression is low but it is now a kids sled. My 98 VMAX 600 has about 14,000km on it, I just did the top end on it, not sure why though old piston's and rings still meet spec.

1999 RMK 700 owned by my & Ski's buddy Wild Bill out of Grand Marais Mi., Rebuilt Topend & crank @ 18,000 miles now well over 25,000 miles but this seld is now worn out. Bill is a big guy & he has worn out 4 seats on that sled & only three sets of hyfax. lmao. Herm Tester south of Grand Marais has a Indy 500 with over 20,000 miles on it also. Makes a huge diff if you ride in good snow with these sleds.
My old 1980 Yammie ss440 had some where around 30,000 miles on it when I got rid of it. My dad put 1 set of rings in it and ran yamahas suggested oil all its life. Wasnt the fastest sled but that sucker would boogie in the right snow conditions

i know the thing must have sucked, but i swear to god it had over 50000 kms on it, you see down there in the winter there is no roads so that is all they use. plus they are always running into this town t oget things like booze and visit family. they get all there wood with these sleds and they are non stop. as for the yamalube i would say it would have been lucky to get that oil, they probably just used the oil from there gas station.(cheap stuff)

i have an 89 xlv in the corral with almost 12000 on the old 540, yamalube all its life you needed to carry gas but it held enough oil.
My 92 Vmax-4 has 11,700 miles, last 6000 with pipes, all on Yamalube and still 120lbs on every cylinder. I just had the heads off of it recently for the first time.
