Should I use two base gaskets on my 760 motor? Has anyone done this? If so could you let me know If it will work.

?? it might work, but it will change all the port timing... my first question is why would you want to run two base gaskets... just to lower compression?. Being a 760, it's probably already ported, and raising the ports even more would probably just have negative effects for every day riding. Even if i'm wrong on the last subject (could very well be) you would probably have to cut your heads to bring compression levels back up to re-gain the response.
When I look at the ports the pistons are way above it, with my 700 motor everything was level. I know they do this on the srx motors. Its a Hauck 760 big bore. If I did try the double base gasket, I would only put one head gasket on to regain head pressure. Any replys???
big bore
If it's a huck it might have been build to run two gaskets.I know they like to change the port timing and run two base gaskets on some of the motors.I would call there shop and find out.

Yea. Might work. I agree with pro116 though, maybe call Hauck and see what they recommend?
Both my Hauck engines needs two.
