Need suggestions on heel clickers .I have a 1998 xtc 700 it has bender pipes ,the head gsk mod done( before i bought it supposedly),reed spacers ,boyensen power reeds, boost bottle.Rocket Roller 2 secondary from maxxperf with 52/38 helix 60deg. on the spring.Ripsaw track with 144 1.325woodys and 8 tooth drivers with gears changed to to keep the same ratio.I have a primary from a 2001 with 15 mm rollers. What would be a good set up for heel clickers STS3HC 40-10y as far as weight in heel ,center and tip?? For this sled ??? THANKS

That helix; especially with a roller is gonna hamper properly setting up your clutching. You need something around a 48/38 non roller or a 46/36 roller. Your too steep on initial angle. Been der dun dat...owned 3 Bender piped sx,s with heelclickers.

4 grams heel & tip would be a good starting point.

Your welcome, I hope you get everything dialed in, sounds like you have a sweet and tricked out machine. Mine is fairly stock, just massaged clutching and jetting and a m-10, later Josh.

Just make sure those weights ARE NOT the powder coated clickers, my mechanic just showed me over 20 sets that have blown up or were on the verge of blowing up. They don't shift out all the way and counter balance themselves to the point of detonation due to the heel angle. Mine were a ticking time bomb ready to go at any point. He pulled them and set a similar weight configuration with Yammie weights. Now it shifts out all the way and pulls like crazy. Just FYI.

Sorry no pics. Basically, I was told not to use any of them, but especially the first generation, black ones with the rough black powder coat on them. The mechanic I mentioned earlier "Doc Fang" said they are a nightmare. I trust him, with 25+ years as an engineer and racing. He said just use the stock arms and adjust your weight accordingly. I'm sure they're are plenty of guys that will say he's crazy or whatever, but I saw the proof and decided to go with the system this guy has proven over and over again. He has a dyno and is a rep for almost all the major after market and oem's. He tests a lot of the products. I learned more in 2 hours then I've learned in 2 years.
