studding 1inch track

i think 96 is fine. my theory on this is more is not always better. think of the guy who lays on a bed of nails hes has hundreds under him which supports his weight and dosent penetrate as much. if he had half as many he would be full of holes.

huh, well what if you dragged the nails acrross the ground.

I would think 96 would be perfect, unless you ride very agressive, but 96 woul dbe anough for everyday trail ridding.

You will be disappointed w/96 which would be alright on a Phazer[1984-1998]. I would recommend 144 because too many times I've heard of under studding and wish they'd gone more. Your viper is 119hp. stock and if work the throttle at all you will take the chance of bending or breaking some studs not to mention stress the track and rip it. I've seen where a ripped track w/the stud still intact put a hole in the front heat exchanger[94 v-max 600 w/96 studs]. It's not that much more money and WELL worth it. ;)!

What he said^^^^^^^

Put em all down the middle. I have 168 in a 136" track. Sticks like snot to a screen door. I recommend Woodys gold diggers and the biggest washers you can get.

These are sleds on ice, not people on nails.

96 is for normal trail riding but if you are aggressive i would go with more because 96 is just not enough. You could go with 144 or 168.
