What Should I Do For The 07 Snow Season???

I'm thinking of holding off on the SLP's for this year, just cause of way the weather has been. It doesnt look like theres gunna be frozen conditions or even snowy conditions up by my place for a while, at least good enough to ride on. I'm just dreding spending all the time tuning in the pipes and clutching, when I could be out tearing up the trails with the stock engine. I'm still installing the ExpertX and 9818 track cause the skid wont take long to get tuned in. But the engine may stay stock this year, just cause all of the BS involved before the sled is ready ready to hit the trails.

What do you guys think????? Take the plunge and put'em on or HOLD OFF
 
I just put on a new set of bender pipes and bender clutch kit the 1st weekend in November. Bad idea. No snow yet. Go figure!!!!#$%&* :o|
 
do it this year when you get a chance. then it will be dialed in and close. then when we do get snow this year or next you will be ready. you wait till next year you'll be in the same boat.... tinkering. ski

Cant tune in the carbs at 50 degree temps plus grass and dirt doesnt cool to well. Plus I live in the city so my lawn is like 50 feet across. LOL

if you wait til next year, next year youll be pissed you didnt do it this year and missed out on a year of riding it piped. sled is WAY more fun piped. besides tuning is a lot of the fun of sledding.
 
if you put them on this year if its a shitty snow year atleast you will have them partly tuned, then if next years a good season you wont have to waste much time on setting them up.
 
ALRIGHT you guys have convinced me to go threw with it...... BUT..... SKI if my clutching is way off base I'm hunting you down for HELP and TIPS. Cause your the one that helped me with the clutch set-up, plus this sled tuning sh** is a whole new ball game for me. The jetting part I can handle but when it comes to clutching these sleds...... WOW do I get lost quick.
 
keep good notes. they will keep you from making the same mistakes and guide you to the changes you need to make.

what base setup are you starting with?
 
165 mains, 47.5 Pilots, 3.5 Clip Position, 2 1/2 Fuel Screw. With Mega heads trail domes, Srx Base Gasket, and SRX Rear Cooler.

Clutching well thats a SECRET.
 
jetting should be close. you may be able drop to 162.5 on the mains on warm days especially but definitely start out running the 165s, watching wash and plugs. fuel screws may also need to be turned in slightly. every setup varies.

too bad about the clutching SECRET cuz i have a setup that really kicks azz.
