machined a few thousanths of the spider, engagement at near 6K, motor bogs at load off line, picks and goes HARD to 500' mark. plugs have good color(a little lean), what fuel circuit adjustment need to be made to alleveate the bog? sorry, dont have my notes with me, focus on the bog. thanks

had the same problem...
Agressive clutching with a lean idle circuit(pilot/fuel screws) will do it every time. Especially bad using heelclickers with a lot of heel weight.
thanks for the replies. after tomorrows ride i will let you know the carb setup. we can go from there.
ok, heres the setup from the last run. 132.5 mains, 50 pilots. .5 air screw(took out the 1.0), screws at 2 turns out, needles at 2.5. throw your ideas at me so i can compare with mine.

For your bog problem, might try and pull the needles up one more clip. Seems to help mine.
elk river is east of moscow, idaho. they run on an airstrip thats closed for the winter. last months snowest had a nice write up on elk river. long way for you to go but split down the middle for me. chelan/elk river, 3+ hour drive, free place to stay at elk(friends). ordered some 60 pilots and raising the needles was next. i have an extra set of carbs i am setting up with the needle change. pilots in the now setup. good luck at chelan. if you want to go east, let me know. i can put you up somewhere.
