all i can say is WOW!!!!! what a difference, the sled transfers like mad. took a couple of hours to make the first one, but i think the next will only take about an hour. im gonna make another one for my fathers mtn rx1 to see what kinda difference it makes on the longer track. anyone know where i can buy some spacers for where the transfer rods were? :winterrul
 
okay guys i will get some pics tomorrow, only thing i have found now is that the track is tight and when i put weight on it it slackens up making it skip. so now i have to find a solution for that.
 
Max how is your kit working out for you? any problems like mine? you should post up a couple of pics for me so i can get an idea of what i done wrong.
 
On the grass it is fine so far. I haven't had it ratchet yet. I actually don't have the straps back on yet. LOl Maxdlx

no it wont, i already got them on the sled.

but i did find a way to stop the track slack, but still keep the transfer. i made a couple of blocks to stop the rear scissors from bottoming to much and actually make the skid pivot back instead of just pushing up the suspension.
i am gonna get some pics in a few minutes.
 
Couple MM I have riden with have done kinda the same thing. They took off the transfer rods, but didn't install straps. Instead they welded a rod across the rails just infront of the bottom scissor arm to keep it from folding forwards. Seems to really work good at least on the MM.
 
For the spacers, just cut the stock rods and leave the upper spacer part on the sled.

I havent had any ratcheting probs since i put the MPI kit on mine. Dont know what to say about that? It must be slacking A LOT for it to skip with extros on there already.
 
this is what i did to limmit transfer for trail ridding. bushings are interchangeble, smaller more transfer larger less,had to dill new holes for these.

looks like it put a small dent in your suspension arm? nothing to really worry about but still it is there.
 
xt 700 that is a great idea.I bet the suspension rides bettrer over the bumps and dosent bottom on the transfer rods and has a smoother ride.
 
xt can you post a pic of that stopper apart I'm very interested in doing this but want to get all the parts first.
