Johnson Lake Gwinn Michigan next Saturday

i will be there but not if i am gonna trailer my sled there or not. hopefully there will some good snow by then. the forcast looks somewhat promising.
 
On Saturday they had 6-8 inches of ice but no snow on the lake. Picked up 2-3 inches of snow so far... Is def a good time.

i live just up the road from there, and i must say we need alot more snow before there will be any sleds going by the house here.

We have about 2" of snow, no riding right now for anyone here.

Will keep you guys posted, if its on and i dont have to work i will be there again this year.

Got the new track on the ole SRX and got the M10 rebuilt again, ill be all set up hopefully.
 
I looked at the Teal Lake Radar runs and they still plan on having them. Last week I heard there was 11" of ice. Not sure where it is at now. The last I heard it was also bare ice. They have 800' track with 1200' shutdown. If a lot of folks are heading out to johnson lake I will probably drive out there later in the evening.

Is there any open water on johnson lake still?

jeep yes the teal lake is suspposed to be big one of my buddies is going there from millwaulkee and a bunch of guys from the chicago area are going there with some big iron.

gwin raptor I had fun their last year I will see how it goes maybe I will make it over there from muni.
 
I hope to get some decent runs in on the lake. I have a brand spanking new track on so i doubt there will be alot of runs, but ill try if we get enough snow.

Brock: have you guys been trailering anywhere to ride? This weather here is rediculous. Yeah my dad just picked the sleds up tonight from franks. I gotta get mine up there for a carb cleaning and clutch cleaning but ive been workin my nuts off at the mine and havent had shit for time. hopefully ill see you guys down there this weekend.
 
I will man, i will be working midnights that night so i wont be out until saturday 2-3pm ish.

By any chance did you have a long track red viper last year down there? A younger guy if i remember correctly?
 
I have rode twice this year, but i know recently the boys have been riding up off AAA but thats squashed untill we get some more NW LES. Hopefully.
 
Brock- we got about 10" at the house in McMillan the last day and a half. More up towards Pine Stump. If I wasnt going to Canada this weekend to go ice fishing, I would be doing a little exploring.

You have something in mind or just driving till ya find snow? I think I may want to take my sled out this weekend too. I dunno...

I really should hit the teal lake radar runs. My kids college roommate is riding a couple sponsored sleds.

But then I also want to hit Johnson lake. Some good friends of ours (Norm and Cindy) would like us to attend out there. Guess being as I met my wife at a party out on Johnson lake over 20 years ago that would be an appropriate place to go.

OH, then there is the TY group that I want to meet in munising....
 
YUP! That was my son beatin' on a freshly built top end LOL! I think there was about 150 miles on those pistons when we pulled in there. He saw you guys runnin' and asked me if he could run my sled. Heck, its a YAMAHA!!! Can't hardly hurt 'em. He really had a blaast running Terry's 05 though. I about had a heart attack when I saw him on it. Told him "NO NOS!!!" Maybe we will make it over there, have to play it by ear.
