a fresh coat of varnish every year. seriously, treat the hood like your car. its the same finish. plastic gets cleaned with degreaser and then low gloss armor all.

I use Meguire's carnuba wax on the hood - works excellent - everything else I wash with Meguire's car wash soap and call it good. I especially don't Armor All the seat.
n2oiroc - where do you find the low gloss armor all? I haven't been able to find it for a couple years around me.

Meguire's wax, same stuff i use on the cars..
Pledge Clean and Shine (Orange) Smells great and is super slick.
Great when running in powder. Keeps snow off hood.
Two coats pre-season and then give it a quick spray before each ride.

mothers 3 step system (cleaner, polish, and wax) and I do this as often as I can. a lot nowadays, no damn snow!!! I also use mother vinyl and rubber conditioner on the plastic and seat. not slippery on the seat and it actually lasts a long time where armor all seems to wear off in short time. I am a mothers boy

Mequires carnuba wax on the hood. Meguires cleaner wax on the trailing arms, spindle, stabilizer bar, and tie rods. The cleaner wax does a good job removing the exhaust film on the right side trailing arm. I usually apply two coats of each at the end of season when I put the sled away. G.B.

Honda spray all purpose cleaner. I love this stuff! Put it on everything including seat (not slippery) and wind sheild. To get and oil and dirt stains off seat I use degreaser cleans it right up.
