Just got my new bender reaction suspension and started putting it in my 2001 sxr. The forecast is snow on the tug hill and area so I gotta git er done. I will say the suspension looks great and seems easy enough to install but the directions are pretty weak. Cant wait to be rid of the old pro action. I had the shocks revalved but it still felt like a buckboard wagon. :letitsnow

I hear ya, I went through the same routine with my sled and ordered the reaction last fall. After about 6 weeks of promises I put in a m-10 which works great, but I am still curious about the reaction.Keep us posted on how it works out, will ya?

I installed the suspension last week and I am hoping to dial it in tomorow because we finally have enough snow. It took about 10 hours but I was alone, and on the floor so it was cold :brr and slow. A good shop setup and extra hands installing into the tunnel could take several hours off this time it is a easy install. I gave it a quick run and it definately is softer and seemed flat in the corners with better transfer so I am excited. Taking off work to run with friends from Virginia so I will have plenty of time to play with it.

Cool, I hope it works great for you. When putting in the m-10 I did'nt keep track of time, but did it in a heated garage with help from another fella which did speed things up tremendously.

I have logged about 600 miles since saturday with friends from Virginia and I must say this is one of the best moves I have made, it works great.. Two of us installed the reaction suspension, my sxr and his sxv and we are both pleased with the results. My body is not beat to sh#$%&* . We both have the model with the two springs coupled end to end which is the agressive model and we have not spent any time fine tuning the spring load so we were just playing with the 42 clicks on the shock. We finally have some real snow on Tug hill 3-4 feet last night so I hope to get it dialed in properly.

I hear ya, its great not getting beat up by the no-action suspension. Some fellas on here really like it, but after two shock revalves and tons of tweaking I got tired of it.I'm glad you like it, is the transfer good?Thats about the only place that I find the m-10 is quite limited, later and happy trails, Josh

Same here I sent shocks out to MaxxPerf for a revalve and it helped but pro action suspension was beyond help as far as I am concerned. Watching my pals sip a cup of coffee at 50 mph also was a convincing. Yamaha lost a lot of ground during the proaction period. Transfer with this suspension is right where I like it about two inches lift with the hammer down on hard pack no noticable lift on the trails and the transfer rod in the middle position. When I took my first test drive the limiter straps were out an extra 1 1/2 and it almost came over backwards so I think you can have it anywhere you want. We are getting pounded with snow again today :letitsnow

WOW guys

I have put between 800 900 miles on the old sx and this new reaction suspension is great once you have it set up. I pulled the limiter straps up to bender suggested lenth, put a little more spring tension, and set the dampening a little higher and this thing rides. I took my buddies 600 clasic with the M-10 for 10 miles on our last ride and I would take the bender all day long. It was my first time on the M-10 so maybe it could be dialed in a little better I dont know. I will say for less price I think you have a better ride.

Has anybody put risers on their handlebars of their SX. I have been wanting to move them up and out about 3" for a while now but I never seen it and wondered if there were problems with clearance or cables.

Pioneer performance sells risers cheap and can tell you at what point you need cable extensions.Call 716-496-8800 and ask for Bruce, he is not far fromyou so you would get it quick in the mail.
